After cooking a pot of beans, how long can I keep it on warm?

I made some bean soup overnight in the slowcooker, Now that it is done at 8 am, how long can I keep it warm. We won’t be eating until noon. Is it safe to keep it cooking until then? Should I keep it cooking or turn down to warm? Help..I don’t want to poison anyone!!!I I won’t have time to cool it because I am leaving for curch in an hour and it is for a covered dish dinner at noon.

I propose to keep it cooking if you’r going to just leave it until noon…170 degrees is the baseline that food needs to be in so that it’s free from any bacteria that can poison people..

Just leave it there and eat it at noon… make sure after eating, the beans should be cooled off and can be stored within 1 hour.

Just remember this +170=serving and -40 when storing

take care

Freeze Green Beans

This is the best way to freeze green beans according to me, because the chances of the green beans going bad or getting bad using this method are less as compared to the other method.
•The first step in freezing fresh green beans is to choose the right beans. If you want to freeze the green beans for summer, then make sure you have the fresh beans. They should be as fresh as possible.
•In case you are not able to lay your hands on fresh beans, then place the beans in a pan and place some ice on the beans for a couple of hours.
•However, make sure you do not freeze old or dried beans.
•Run lukewarm water over the beans, if they are fresh. If they are little old, then you will run cold water, preferably ice cold water over the beans.
•Rinse the beans in the water to remove any dirt from them.
•Wipe the beans with soft cotton cloth to remove any remaining dirt and pat dry them.
•The next step is to trim away the ends of the beans. You can then either freeze the entire beans or put it into pieces 1 inch long.
•While you are cutting them into pieces, boil a large pot of water. Fill the pot about two third with water.
•Add the beans to the boiling water. The green beans should be kept in hot water for about 3 to 5 minutes. This heat treatment will stop the action of the enzymes which can cause the beans to go bad, and also help in killing the bacteria.
•Remove the beans from boiling water and place them in ice cold water or ice. Leave the beans in the ice cold water for the same amount of time you have placed them in boiling water.
•Then drain the beans and place them in bags with a vacuum seal. Make sure you remove all the air from the bags and place the bags in the freezer or in the quick freezer shelf.
•You may want to put the date on which the beans were frozen on the bag, before you place them in the freezer.
